The Philosophy.

Good Bloke Co. is a group of urban gardeners, product makers and nature lovers. We carry our opinion and care of those of others. We want our products’ ingredients to be natural and derived only from plant-based sourses. Because of our lifestyle and values that we believe in, we want our products represent the power of nature with a little human interaction. We care for post-consumer waste and want our product’s packaging to be biodegradable by the nature without any recycling centers. We created Good Bloke Co. for people like us. 

The Actual Story of Good Bloke Co.

It started with one question: “Can we make a hair wax that doesn’t contain petroleum gel?” When I went to a named beauty store in a search for a good hair wax for men I started reading into their ingredients. I took a hair wax tin and saw petroleum gel listed among ingredients. Then I took another container and it had petroleum gel again… I checked if petroleum gel was a good ingredient for human hair and it turned out that it was not. “While petroleum is a natural extract from Crude Oil (that we use in cars) it doesn’t have that many vitamins; Also it doesn’t penetrate the hair shaft, it only coats the hair preventing moisture from penetrating into the hair that eventually dries the hair…[ ]” The research paper went on and on about the bad and hidden side effects of using petroleum gel in hair products. Because of the findings, I decided not to buy it. I went home and continued my research. Later I learned what ingredients can be used in hair products. Also, what our hair actually needs, what kinds of damage our hair exposed to and the ways to protect them. I built a solid understanding of what hair products should contain and how to keep reasonable price while keeping only all-natural ingredients at use. That’s how I started Good Bloke Company. The love to vegetarianism and sustainability led me to search for biodegradable and eco-friendly packaging. Our goal is to eliminate packaging to the most possible extend. Most of our products today are delivered package free and all are shipped plastic free.
